hi, my name is linda

I design, make paper goods, and live in Seattle. One Fine Dae shares the many lovely things that I adore. I'm also a fan of Polaroids, Scrabble, classic movies, vintage, and sailboats. And Charlie Brown is my goofy little companion and unofficial paper shredder.

I'm on Instagram, Flickr, Twitter, and Pinterest.

And also read emails. So say hello, I'd love to hear from you.

I'm so excited for the Oscars on Sunday! Will you be watching? Kathleen of Twig & Thistle is the queen when it comes to putting together DIY Oscar Parties, and the one for this year is so classy. All the details are perfect. And look, she even created paper statuettes. So fun!

I always tell myself that one day I will throw my own Oscar party if and when I have the space. For now, a couch, pillow, and this furry friend will have to do. Enjoy the weekend guys!

As if Justine's shop (Upon a Fold) isn't already awesome enough with all the sweet things it carries, every order now comes with these darling paper pencils that you can fold and keep. I'm completely smitten over how cute and colorful they are.

Boy am I glad that it's Friday. It has been a busy, busy week for me and all I can think about now is getting into my PJs and bonding with the television.

But before I sign off for the night, I want to share a few great finds from this week:

Alright then, enjoy these..and the weekend.

DIY with Netflix Origami

If you're a Netflix fan like me, then you probably have a collection of those familiar red and white envelope flaps lying all over the house. I sure do. And just the other day, I found a few of these scattered around my work space. Without even thinking, I tossed them in the recycling box.

The next day, while making my rounds around the blogosphere, I came across Netflix Origami, a site specially dedicated to making origami out of those leftover flaps. After coming across this page, I had one of those "OMG this is why I love the internet!" moments.

So tonight, I went through the recycling box, fished out the flaps that would have been a post-consumer product of some sort, and turn one into a swan and the other into an inflatable cube.
