hi, my name is linda

I design, make paper goods, and live in Seattle. One Fine Dae shares the many lovely things that I adore. I'm also a fan of Polaroids, Scrabble, classic movies, vintage, and sailboats. And Charlie Brown is my goofy little companion and unofficial paper shredder.

I'm on Instagram, Flickr, Twitter, and Pinterest.

And also read emails. So say hello, I'd love to hear from you.

Seattle Great Wheel and Pacific Park at Santa Monica Pier via Instagram.

. . . . .

I am such a sucker for Ferris wheels. There's something so nostalgic and wholesome about them, and they instantly remind me of hot and humid late summer evenings. I'm not sure why exactly, but it's the image and feeling I get whenever I encounter one.

This past summer, Seattle got its very own Great Wheel. I haven't had the chance to ride on it, but just seeing this ginormous circular structure plopped right on top of Pier 59 makes me feel so giddy and happy. It makes the city look complete.

And while I was in Orange County this past weekend with friends, I got to see another Ferris wheel at the the historic Santa Monica Pier. A vintage design that's both lovely and colorful.

Beautiful!

Like you, Ferris Wheels are my love. And bicycles. Weird?!

Great photos! They look like you used an analogic camera- I never get to take that kind of photos with my phone. :)

totally agree – I haven't taken a ride on the Great Wheel, either, but I love just seeing it there. maybe we need to take a ride after one of our dinners! :P
