Found these two polas while I was tidying up my space. They're from early 2009. Not too long ago, but it feels like forever. I can still recall when and where I took them, too.
The scooter pic was my first official Polaroid photo. I remember being so happy and giddy after paying the nice lady who sold me my first Polaroid camera that I had to take a photo of the coolest thing at the moment—the shiny, red scooter. To her, the camera was probably an obsolete piece of junk, but all I saw was a brand new toy. And I love how this picture reminds me of that, with its blurriness and all.
The van pic was taken on one early Sunday morning in January after I took out the trash. It was one of those crisp and sunny winter days that Seattle gets. The kind that makes you want to be outside just to breathe in the fresh air. This was the street my old apartment was on. Just to the right of that volkswagen. My first apartment with my bff, actually. It was small and came with several unexpected WTH issues, but it was cozy, and it was home. Perfect for two young girls trying to figure out what our next move was, while living off cheese, scrambled eggs, and instant noodles. But we did have Scrabble and classic movie nights to keep us happy. Gregory Peck was our leading man, and his leading lady was Audrey Hepburn. We loved them together.
Okay, enough of this walking-down-memory-lane stuff.
In other new news...I spent most of Sunday giving the blog a make-over. A little less compartmentalized, a little more open. And gives me more room to add stuff to the side bars if I wanted to. Hope you like the new look.
