Really loving the subtle and simplistic patterns on these eco-friendly wrapping papers from The Local Paper, via Design Milk. And aren't their still-life product shots just darlin'?

native vermont studio

/ Wed, February 24, 2010

Aren't these prints from Native Vermont Studio just the sweetest? They really take me back to the days of Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

upon a fold

/ Mon, February 22, 2010

Justine's shop (Upon a Fold) of freshly made paper goods from boutiques around the world is making my wallet itch big time. (25togo Design Studio, T-Table Office, D-Bros, and Lian Ng)

what is everyone up to?

/ Sun, February 21, 2010

Seattle has been getting some gorgeous weather the past few days, especially today, and my family is taking full advantage:

Dad's replacing some broken pieces on that old gate.

Mom's prepping her garden beds for another summer filled with organic veggies and fruits.

Charlie's practicing his watch-dog skills by barking at the neighbors' kids.

And me? Making sure those spring flowers fulfill their destiny on my bedroom windowsill.

So tell me, what have you been up to on this lovely Sunday?

start here and connect

Am feeling completely inspired by these notebooks from Start Here. The cool thing about these is that they can connect to each other via a pocket on the front cover. I love it when form + function coexist so effortlessly.

hair things + riding yellow

/ Mon, February 15, 2010

Recently discovered the jewelry line of Shlomit Ofir, and am completely and utterly smitten by her designs. Her shop is filled with gorgeous pieces that are simple, elegant, and carry a bit of whimsical, vintage charm. Swoon x infinity.

. . . . .

I saw the cutest Volkswagen van on the interstate today. Think Little Miss Sunshine with an all yellow paint job. My stomach was tickled with delight, and I think I was wearing a smile the rest of the way home. Yes, I'm pretty sure.

a little bit of sunshine + random message

/ Fri, February 12, 2010

I could really use some of these cheery and bright pieces (via Etsy) in my life right now, to rid away all the gray and somber weather that mother nature has bestowed upon the Pacific Northwest these past few days. (Harpoon Handmade, Flaura Design, Be Still, and It's a Stitch.)

. . . . .

I had one of those "something you don't hear everyday" moments today after reading this text from a friend:

"My parents just told me i have to drive a monk home from the temple tomorrow."

Yes. That's going down my book as Most Bizarre Text. Ever.

monochromatic minx

/ Thu, February 11, 2010

Wonderful pieces in shades of gray and black from Minx Shop.

fresh + friendly

Gorgeous pieces from Freshly Fig.

. . . . .

One of the ladies who works at a coffee shop I went to this morning greeted me with a, "Hi friend!" before asking for my order. As long as she doesn't quit, it's good to know I'll always be a friend to someone in the caffeine industry.
